Thanks for your responses.

I do agree that PS is just not project management, but if you can give me some details of what's the scope for PS in the market will be really helpful.

Subject: SAP PS Guidance

Hi guys,

I am working in an ERP company and my profile is more of a project manager role. However, previous to this I had worked on SAP and SRM tool. SRM just as an end user. I have created PO's, blocked invoices issues, req's, etc.

So I fit into MM, SRM, CRM and PS. PS sounds interesting to me, also because I work as a Business Analyst now PS attracts me. Although I can tweek my resume to take up CRM or SRM, PS is more affordable as they also provide Online training unlike CRM and SRM which is only ILT trainings.

I had been to some institutions to inquire about SRM, CRM and PS. Dexler gave me a negative opinion about PS. Whereas Siemens says it's a niche module, the demand is less and so is the supply.

This is a move that I am taking from and I have decided to do SAP, I really want to know everything about PS. How's the course? What's the demand pattern in the market? How's the scope? How's the growth? How is PS when compared to other modules? And any other information which would guide me.

Your guidance would be really helpful.

Thanks.

Of course money matters but by the time one's professional index should be different and upgraded in comparison of the people who are working in to the same segment, as I have done BSC + MBA in marketing which is quite common these days. Competition is too tough; that's why having thought of to doing SAP or other courses which can provide me more tools to fight in future. Please guide how to design my career.

Finding weekend training in the US is going to be tough in general. The
class sizes are generally 20+ and they need to have them mostly full to make
it worth offering...

Hi AR,

Let me know the module you want to go for. I myself am a SAP Consultant that is working for German Giant.
See it totally depends on the hobby & the way you look at. Helping/ Guiding someone cannot be illegal until you look into different terms.

Naresh

Hi Naresh Bro,

I am agree with you. One should not go to fake institutes. Do you think it's
legal if working consultants start teaching SAP authorized course contents
at their home? I would really appreciate if you could shed some light on it
as I have been told by many SAP consultants in Mumbai that it's illegal.
Anyways, one should look for ROI when taking SAP training. If you have
enough money go to SAP Authorized training Center then join any of them else
go to any xyz institute like skyinfotech. But do take few demo classes
before making final payment to these institute.
And luckily, if you manage to convince any real time working professional to
train you then this would be the best bet & cost saving as well.

BTW. I have heard that Amarpreet, Hyderabad is not only best for the SAP
unauthorized training (In terms of faculty at least) but also value for money
training in really low cost (10-15K). In Mumbai, unauthorized institutes
charge between 30-40K for SAP regular module like SD/ABAP/FICO/MM etc and
around 50K for ND modules.

Can anybody update rate of such institutes from Delhi/NCR?

Hope this helps.

In my opinion, PS is not what you think it is. PS is in fact the linking
module for every other module in SAP. Here you configure the majority of
the connectivity between the modules. I say this because I am a trained PS
configurer. Project management is in fact the smallest part of the PS
module. FICO is a much larger party. As for online training. There are
many online training sites for PM and none that are certified to teach SAP
PS.

HTH,

Neal

Hi Guys,

It's a suggestion, look for some individual real time experience trainer who
can train you & to whom you can understand.

Stop going to all these fake institutes

Just waste of time & money.

Naresh

Your choice is fully dependent on supply/demand factor?

If this is the case, then this is not the best way of deciding SAP career, and for
that matter any career. To me the way world is shaping up (since you are
interested in Macro), demands for everything will come down!

All the best,
Reetesh
