Such a move will not be easy because <our Microsoft experience will not help much and you will be starting completely from scratch. I would suggest trying to get a job where you can get hands-on experience on either Oracle or SAP and learn on the job, before spending money on retraining which will bring you nothing except lots of costs and a start from zero.

Subject: Career change advice for Windows Systems Engineer

I'm currently working as Windows Systems Engineer since 5years. However I do not have interest in the current domain because of very meager pays and lack of overseas opportunities so planning to move to Oracle DBA or SAP Basis Adminstration.. Could anyone share their views and suggest me... Thanks
