Your curriculum vitae show strong straight line in financial services supported by and built on the knowledge of your "MBA in International Business". At the current time you carry a responsible position as "investment Manager" where you are responsible for the company and the investment of employees. Furthermore you are "32 years old with 2 kids".

I do hope on your agreement that you do not have experience with the IT, generally, and in SAP particularly. Why do you want to make a change if the change dictates that you theoretically must start from the bottom of practically everything? Your family with two kids must count on your continued support. They do not have the power to stop you in changing but they do have a right, at least, to expect you to be wise enough, not to create any risk for them unnecessarily.

What advice would you give to some one who, for example, has good, enough knowledge and experience in SAP and thinks that he should discontinue and try to get into the financial services where you are today? The point cannot be ignored, at least in the interest of your two kids.

(If you still dream of SAP, you certainly can try to plan in advance to find an acceptable way to hold on the security for your family and, at the same, find an opportunity to enter SAP.)
