Dear chakri : On this forum you hear a number of times that SAP offers a secured job with good earning potentials and opportunities. On the other hand, there are warnings, advices with red flags etc., at least in the same amount. In your particular case: On the IBM side you already are someone with six plus three years of experience and knowledge on two good and promising areas of "BPCS / ERPLX techno functional consultant" and "As400 applications(Financial product)". I therefore assume strongly that you are making a good life, at least financially, with the job on IBM AS400. Why do you want to discontinue it? Would you mind to paint the most simple and plain picture in which you are NOBODY who really does not have much to offer on your way to SAP? Certainly, you can build a career with SAP on your current foundation of knowledge. But all the six plus three years are no longer there to support you. Negative and destructive consequences etc. are the realities that you inevitably have to face.
