Hi Julie,

You can evaluate the following

1. SAP Solution Manager: Will come closest to your current nature of work..problem management, change management, application development life cycle, landscape management etc. Covers ASAP global implementation philosophy and how to manage large projects and programs, primarily based on SAP systems and applications- setting up systems, projects, resources, timelines, milestones, ticket management etc. SAP solution manager is a mandatory system now for SAP AG to attend to service calls for consulting and warranty support.

2. SAP BPX Associate consultant curriculum (SAP education)
3. SAP Enterprise Architect Associate consultant curriculum (SAP education)

The latter 2 has a different emphasis. It deals with construction of business processes and systems at a high level. It also covers service oriented arhictecture and how it fits within the overall solution landscape in any enterprise, irrespective of the development environment. You might take a look at the detailed curriculum on www.sap.com/education on how it can compliment your career and skills.

None of these however have anything to do with programming. A basic knowledge of object oriented concepts do help visualuze the literature though..be it ABAP, JAVA or .NET

If you want to be a developer then thats a different track altogether. The good thing is enough free stuff is available on ABAP on google... more than anything else in SAP.

Hi,

I was into Service Management (ITIL Certified). I worked as Problem Manager, Change Manager and Incident Manager. I have theoretical programming knowledge though have not worked in any language so far. I want to do SAP in particular ABAP. I do not have hands on experience on programming. I want to know which module of SAP would suit me as far as my previous experience is concern.
