Hi, Since your academics are in Finance and you have been in Operations, your domain knowledge, I suppose, should be adequate to pursue SAP (FI/CO). However, does your domain experience include exposure to SAP environment? If your answer is in the affirmative, then I guess keerthimaha is absolutely right. However, if SAP environment is totally alien to you, then it would be a wise idea to learn SAP either a) by getting an SAP related job or b) by taking up certification and then looking for an SAP job. In the Indian environment, you would be generally considered a fresher if your are totally new to SAP and the best way to approach, in my opinion is as mentioned above. Please understand that you may be competing with SAP experienced and (or) SAP Certified Professionals. It would be good idea to equip yourself accordingly. As SAP is a green pasture, as of date, there is stiff competition as you rightly pointed out. However, the market is not yet saturated and therefore you could consider the possibility of taking an acceptable risk to switch to SAP. Wish you success in your endeavor. Regards, VidhyaDhar

Certification is not required, as you have domain experience. Keerthi | | __.____._ Copyright © 2011 Toolbox.com and message author. Toolbox.com 4343 N.
