Hi Parvez, Good to see someone taking his education so seriously. If I were
you I would have settled for teaching :-)

If useful means career prospects and relevant means an extension of what
you already know then I can suggest Supply Chain Planning applications.
This includes SAP applications aka "modules" of demand planning, supply
network planning, production planning, service parts plannings, event
management etc in SAP APO and SAP ECC viz. production planning, materials
management, sales, logistics execution etc.

If you want to be indepth as in contributing to the development of a
particular application e.g. demand planning. I guess you need to approach
SAP AG directly and ask them what options they have for someone like you.
Frankly with a Phd education, becoming an SAP solution consultant is a
waste of talent, because you will be mostly doing "settting" and testing of
scenarios in essence. Most consultants I have met wont even know whats
the logic behind even afer 10 years in consulting but they pretend to be
consultants Dont worry about the training part. If SAP AG likes you, they
will train you. Alternatives would be to explore other ERP companies like
Oracle, Sage, Epicor, MS dymamics and so on. They too have supply chain
applications with differing industry emphasis.

I am a PhD student (of supply chain management) and interested in SAP training.

I have also completed my MSc (logistics and supply chain management, MBA (human resource management),and BSc (stats and maths). I have over a year of experience in stock controlling, purchasing, and logistics.

As I am new to SAP, based on the information provided above, please can you advise some SAP courses which are useful and relevant?
