Hi Pauly,

The SAP PM role will allow you to understand and get experience in every step of the process for implementing a full SAP cycle.

As well as you will see how a SAP consultant work on an actual project as well as the challenges and what are required of the consultants. That should give you a good foundation to make a decision if you truly wants to become a SAP consultant.

Likewise as a SAP PM besides doing the PM role you will have the opportunity to actual get access to a SAP system under implementation something that you can not get unless you install SAP in your home.

One way you could go is to combine the SAP PM role with becoming an experienced SAP Solution Manager consultant as this is a useful tool which is being pushed hard by SAP to be used as part of all SAP implementations.

So I will recommend you to go for the SAP PM opportunity.

Dear all,
I would like to ask you guys that does the position of Project Manager for SAP Project could let me to get into SAP world?
I worked as Project Manager for development of new system (non- SAP) for one of local bank in BKK and I have recently completed the SAP academy course. Right now, I have the job offer from other bank to be Project Manager for SAP implementation project. It is the position on business side, not on vendor side.
Could you guy please give me the idea for this position. Does it mean I would gain SAP experience for future career.
