Dear SureshGuduru :

You have demonstrated that you have laid a real foundation for your current career path and it can serve the purpose of your further development.

Here are the facts:
"studied in computer science",
"5 yrs of exp in software development using micro soft technologies.".
And your current employer "recently implemented the SAP in various modules such as FI, HR, SD, MM.".
<!--[if !supportLineBreakNewLine]-->
<!--[endif]-->
Your current employer therefore does need a number of capable employees to apply the installed SAP modules to (well) serve the company's purpose. Your employer does know you personally, professionally in your behavior and characters. Based on these premises and under normal circumstances, it must be wise for them to offer you a chance to grow. (The cost to find, hire, train and retain a capable employee is about three times the annual earning.)

One thing of importance that has been pointed out by R.N. White is: Do you consider that it is acceptable to you to re-start and build your career on a path that is almost completely different from what you have done in the past five (long and successful) years?

Either way, you do have a good opportunity. Stay where you are and be happy or move on to another career where you have a real chance to succeed.

Subject: Which is the best SAP functional module for my career?

Hi Experts,

I have 5 yrs of experience in Dot Net and SQL Server BI development and would like to switch to SAP. In my present company (working in UK), they recently implemented the SAP in various modules such as FI, HR, SD, MM.

I would like to switch to SAP functional module where I may get an opportunity in the present company. I read the reviews from various blogs and landed in confusion. I want your suggestion to select a SAP module to start my career in SAP.

About my academic, I studied in computer science and having 5 yrs of exp in software development using micro soft technologies.

Thank you very much and your suggestion will be appreciated.

Regards,
Suresh
