Do you have any relevant SAP experience? You do not say if you have been working with SAP as an end user, but I suspect not. Your domain experience may be useful for CRM but without SAP "hands-on" what do you have to offer? You will certainly be considered a "fresher" (I hate that word). I would suggest that certification would not help you at all in this case, because it does not show you can do the job - only that you can cram enough theoretical knowledge to pass an exam. What you need is lots more experience with the system. Also, CRM is a bolt-on to core SAP and you would do better to go for SD first and then add CRM later. Pure CRM consultants are rare and not very sought after because they do not have core module knowledge of SAP.

Hi,

I have been working for the last 8 years having Sales/Marketing and Customer service experience in Banking and Telecom sectors. I have come to know that functional SAP certification can be done if I were to look for a job in SAP domain. I have 2 concerns

1. Will my existing experience help for a job one I have been certified by SAP or would I be considered a fresher and treated like one when it come to recruitment.

2. Will SAP certification help me ? I was thinking of CRM as a module to specialize in.
