You can definitely go for SAP FI/CO as it is somewhat relevant to your experience,

In FI/CO you need to deal with GL accounts, All financial statements, Almost all modules integration for example SD - Sales invoice when posted ,all entries will be posted to relevant documents,

This is very simple example i am given ,but it will be easy for you also to understand this postings
