Hi Varun Kumar,

You are in a good position, i.e. Mgt Trainee.

Make a plan with milestones -
Focus on - what areas you would like to be strong in (in the module), combine this "selection of areas" with what you are getting to learn in this implementation. read about these areas on the internet
- volunteer to do more work
- see how experienced consultants work & go about their job
- Everyday show positive attitude, passion for learning, & do your best

PS: Neal & Viet thank you for your posts!

Subject: Career Shift from Civil Engg into SAP

Hello Guyz!

Well I'm a Civil Engineer and after completing my civil engineering I did my MBA in Construction Management. Right now, I m working for a construction firm that implements SAP for small and mid size Construction companies(Ind). I m working as a management trainee over here and I will be trained for a period of 1 year. I have taken up SAP-PS module to work upon as I felt that would suit my background perfectly. I was offered this profile(SAP implementation) immediately after my MBA degree. What are my options from now on and future career prospects after undergoing training in any of the implementation projects? I felt SAP would really give a boost to my career and hence stepped into this. Am I in the correct direction? Please help.

Regards
Varun
