What is important to understand is that selling and buying of goods will
always be there and I am sure SAP being leader in its segment (ERP,etc)
there is no reason, to believe that SAP will not last as long as you have
concept like SCM, etc. But market will evolve and so you also need to evolve
with the market.

But frankly speaking I see very little reason why you want to come into this
Industry after seeing the options you have! Sure, you will catch up with the
salary but that would take time and may be little longer than people would
tell you because of uncertain times.

Dear SAP Gurus,

I am basically Civil/Structural Designer, having 7 yrs of expin purchasing, documentation, designing and execution. Also I have SAP exp of 2 yrs in SAP MM module.

Options I have right now:
1. I have salary of 9 LPA and designation as Manager - Projects, @ Bangalore
2. Permanent employee position with IBM Bangalore with 2 yrs bond,s salary as 5.6 LPA(variable 5.3LAP)
3. Also have an option to design wind turbine/wind mills at one one of the company @ Chennai: salary 8.75 LPA

Now I want to know, If I switch to SAP career, is it OK or is it advisable? For how many years we can have SAP as an ERP tool across India. so that I can improve skills and make money in SAP?

In my field, design and construction its too hard to get into and life style is different.

Please advice me with in short...........pls pls pls............
