Hi, Thanks Mr.Roy , I have spoken with some senior people in the company (cmy), they told that both profiles have some pros and cons . No one has made a clear view about the scope of both profiles so please let me know from your perspective. Regards, S.Prasanth

First of all, I have no idea what a "cmy" is, but didn't he or she give you any advice? Secondly, with only 1 month's experience you do not have much in the way of BI knowledge and you obviously have no idea what a Business Analyst is or does. A BA is a functional consultant. Throw your net wider and use search engines to get more information from the internet. Your future is what you make it. There are successful and failed BAs, same as in any other walk of life. You have to ask the questions at your place of work, find out what exactly they are offering and what possibilities this will open up. This could be a great opportunity for you so you need to find out the facts and make an unhurried assessment of them. When you have the facts you can come back here and ask for specific advice on them and we can help you. The important thing is that you now have your toe in the door and you have to make the most of the chances.
