One thing to know ahead of time is the independent trainer will not teach you the business processes and how it relates to SAP. They probably run through the user guide which you can do on your own with online access to a SAP server. As consultant, which you seek, you are hired as experienced problem solver. If you cannot hit a project solving problems or/and making recommendations from day 1, then you may not be a successful consultant. At the minimum, make sure your independent trainer runs through a project from implementation to upgrade with customizations within. Then you can apply for jobs both in the support role and consulting role. Salary, with your experience, tends to be very minimal but at least you break into SAP. You probably be more successful in a support role or end user initially, then with a few years experience you can jump into consulting from a junior role. A company like Accenture will hire you with 2 years experience and you can get on a project under the guidance of senior consultants. Goodluck
