I have 12 years of IT experience and am currently working as a Test Manager. I have worked on ERP support project (non-SAP) so understand the ERP concepts very well, but do not have SAP module specific exposure. I would like to continue Project Management but would like to move back to ERPs from testing. (Testing has very limited scope and does not allow us to attain full delivery lead profile) My query - 1. Doing PMP certification will help me better? Or will it also need SAP certification to move into SAP Project management? 2. Doing a SAP course and getting into implementation cycle will help me better?

I recommend you first go ahead as a fresher in SAP, face the Inverview with confidedence, and tell them that " am looking for an opportunity to get in to SAP, Present yourself very broadly with your PM experience. Try to get in to first in any Implementation project instead of supoort. After 1 end to end project, apply as PM in SAP. In this way you can make your carrier in SAP. Never give up...........!!
