Hi Pamela,

CRM is possible but getting a job in the CRM world may not be so easy because it is a very attractive module (some would even say "sexy") right now. There are too many people competing for the available jobs, in my opinion. I would think more in terms of leveraging your existing skills by expanding sideways into say MM or SCM, or even PLM. I know guys here in Germany who have done this and now call themselves "Logistics" consultants instead of just SD, and a much bigger field is open to them. Also you can study the new functionality that has come along more recently like BADIs and BAPIs, Function Modules and the like which moves you more towards programming without making you into a programmer but enables you to write functional specifications for new developments that can blow the socks off the bosses. On another tack you can look at Financial Supply Chain Management (FSCM) which has many elements of the old credit management that used to be split between SD and FI but is now all under this one new hat and it goes a bit further with dispute management and so on which is CRM-related. That could be a back door into CRM longer term, but also involves notions of financials and could make you a fully-fledged "Order-to-Cash" consultant, covering all aspects of that business cycle. All of these things can be learned "on the job" with the help of standard SAP documentation and the internet so you only need to invest time and effort and little money. You see the way my mind is working? Like you I am not certified but have worked my way to the top of my field by being prepared to learn anything I have stumbled across on the way. Think it over and decide which way to go first or maybe write yourself a road map to get where you want to be bit by bit. Good luck with it.

Hi All,

I am an SD consultant (not certified) with SAP experience of 7 yrs with roll out, support experience (no implementation) . My total experience is 15 yrs including 8 yrs of domain and SAP SD of 7 yrs.

I need to do some other SAP module to increase my value. Could someone guide which of the following three I take up. I would like to leave my current job and will like to take up SAP education full time. So a break of one month or so.

SAP CRM, if yes, which part of CRM i.e CRM marketing, services etc ?
SAP PS (I have some user experience only in SAP PS )
SAP BW functional. If yes, what are the course name for BW functional

I am in India and an Indian. The problem in India is companies expect you to be manager after having worked for 7 yrs in SAP. If I take the role of a manager, I will forget SAP since I will be involved into resource management etc. So I was thinking of ways to add more skills to my resume etc.

I do not have liabilities, i.e I am 37 and still single.
