I would say go back into SD but maybe widen your net to include MM and possibly CRM and SCM. Call yourself a CRM, SCM and Logistics consultant. Put a lot of effort into writing your CV so that what you have been doing looks like a continuation and expansion of your earlier SD consulting role and emphasize the CRM and SCM aspects of of your more recent experience. That will help when it comes to explaining at interview that you have had a break from SAP consulting pure, which is going to be your biggest challenge. Best of luck. Hi, I am a 44 year old guy and am a senior sales manager in an IT company. about 11 years back i was a SAP SD R/3 consultant and completed a couple of implementations as lead SD consultant. for the last decade i have been in industry, in sales, in outsourcing, services etc. My career has become stagnant for the last few years not only because of my seniority but also because of market conditions. i am seriously considering re-training in SAP and getting back into SAP. I would appreciate good feedback and comments on this, and what kind of modules i should be looking to train into, what challenges, what opportunities. thks | | __.____._ Copyright © 2011 Toolbox.com and message author.
