I sent a long reply this morning to a "fresher" in South Africa (via Linkedin). You see, I am not only active on this forum but elsewhere too. What sometimes makes me despondent is that many people seem to blithely ignore the good sense that we, the seniors, talk, but, if one in 100 takes some notice then maybe we can make a difference together.
