Hi Kate. Generally I have found that end user experience, though not enough on its own, is considered useful in Europe. It gives you first-hand experience of the issues that arise in the practical use of SAP in business. Being involved in the initial implementation of SAP in a company, particularly if you are a part of the in-house team helping with the business blueprint, UAT, becoming a super-user, etc is also a bonus. However, no matter how long your experience at that level, even if it included providing user support, supervision, and possibly training or coaching to colleagues, you need more to get into independent contracting or consultancy, specifically you need knowledge of the technical aspects including configuration and the integration of related modules. SAP recognized qualifications, although not essential, also support your CV.

Hi Guys, There was a recent post entitled "SAP Trainer or SAP End User Job" here from a guy (or so I presume) in India. Few answers had mentioned that _end_user_experience_did_not_count with employers when hiring for consultants. I wonder could somebody tell me what the situation is in Europe (Ireland) as I have 10+ yrs domain experience and a good brain and lot of work in me, but find difficult to even get shortlisted. May this all be not enough? Can I do anything to improve my chances? Thanks, Kate | | __.____._ Copyright © 2011 Toolbox.com and message author. Toolbox.com 4343 N.
