Reply from Viet_Tran on Jan 15 at 3:11 PM Dear Muhammed Shahid Ali: You are at fork of time on the path of your career. On the one hand, you state that you are "just fed up with my routine" and "worried about my career". These are tow toxic ingredients that can destroy any one's career. And it can also destroy your mental health which you unconditionally need as principal basis for your career. If you are somewhat successful in your current position as "Business Development Manager" and in "in sales and operation management" for "6 years"; you should reconsider. It has been a long period of time in one's career. If you step away, you must start from scratch, possibly from very bottom level. None of the supportive resources that you have access to is there for you. It might be that you just have to learn how to change your professional behavior or to add new, more appropriate ones, in dealing with the people in your business environment. It might be that you just have to add new attitude to your dealing etc. This way, you still can recoup your career on a healthy basis and the risk in doing so is the minimum that you can expect; otherwise you can imagine for yourself a stony road ahead for a number of years, just for you to reach the (undesirable) standard where you are in now. Once you are successful, you still can eye to change your lane to SAP. SAP like any other business entities does have urgent and continuous needs for its sales force. If you belong to its sales force, you are one of the most important employees of the company because without you and others, the company will go bankrupt in a whole. Have confidence and put the trust in your own person. Work hard and then you can realistically expect the success, in SAP on Non-SAP related fields. (Should you still need sample of practice, as motivation and adjustment for your career planning, look e.g. at the two Co-CEO of SAP). Regards, Viet Tran
