Re: [sap-career] Is Chartered Accountant with SAP FICO a Good Option?

Dear pri_1986:

If you say that "Package they are offering is not attractive", then you must be able to further say that you could have another package that is "attractive". If it is true, the question to ask is then: Why consider this one? In case of that there is no alternative and the time is urgent, go for it to buy time for another consideration in the future.

Your personal preference must play a crucial role in your decision making process of career. Do you want to have all the professional freedom of development as Chartered Accountant where ever you can utilize your knowledge and skill, or would you want to see yourself as SAP FICO expert? To lift the veil a little: Remember the old joke "(implementing SAP is like pouring concrete into the company"? In it, there is still a corn of truth.

Another point of view is that it is a fact that a capable SAP FICO wo/man can make a good living. And there is no reason to concern about the future of SAP FICO as long as SAP successfully exists.

Subject: Is Chartered Accountant with SAP FICO a Good Option?

I am a Chartered Accountant and recently got a job offer from reputed IT company in SAP FICO department. Initially, they will also provide the training under this department. Package they are offering is not attractive.
Can anyone guide me about the future prospects of SAP FICO for a Chartered Accountant?
