[sap-career] SAP SD and Variant Configuration

I have 10+ years experience in Product Product configuration management, and Product development(Pre-sales). Considering my work experience I thought SAP SD with Variant configuration will be suitable for me. I would like to know how is the future demand in SAP SD and Variant Configuration.
