At this very moment, I do not have enough time in one piece to reply.

The main part of the last paragraph of your correspondence; it reads "I know people who are working on SAP for very long time and they say that it i very difficult to understand everything as it is very vast" reminds you and me of the all white tiger that I describe in another response on this forum at a time that is not too long ago.

I hold a Btech and MBA degree and working in India.I have around 4 years of pre MBA experience and around 6 months post MBA.I am working in one ot the top IT cos of India (both pre and post MBA).Earlier I was in technology stream and now I am in consulting stream.

Post my MBA i got traned in SAP MM for the role of functional consultant.However i was not getting any project in functional role post training for quite some time so I moved into SAP presales role(more MBAish kind of work) .I do not want to stick to technological stuff plus this SAP pre sales role is of high visibility.I believe that presales work is always a big value add to your resume.

I have a few questions and would be greatful if somebody can guide me.It will help me decide my future path.

1) What roles (eg sales,business development etc) can an SAP presales guy move into after working 1-1.5 years in presales solutioning? Please also comment on long term horizon say 5,10 years.

2) Should one try to move into SAP functional stuff or move towards bid management,business develpoment etc after working in presales?

3) Please suggest ur views in terms of growth,package,onsite etc for both presales and functional roles.

I want to move into senior management positions rather than sticking to technological stuff wherein i will work on same SAP screen for 1-2 years.I know people who are working on SAP for very long time and they say that it i very difficult to understand everything as it is very vast.
