You are doing the job within the same area for a long period of time and you are moving to upper level of responsibility as "Super User". You certainly can get certification at any time as you please. On the other hand, you should consider that certification process will come with a cost and a requirement that you must spend time for the purpose of certification. And the questions to ask are therefore: Why do you want to do it? And for what purpose? If you can justify them, go for it.
