Reply from Viet_Tran on Dec 19 at 12:43 PM Monday, December 19, 2011 "Eligibility for a Career in SAP" Dear Vasanth Kouluri: I confirm the receipt of your request below. And here is my response: Critic: The number of response and/or pieces of information cannot be an acceptably healthy basis for your decision or plan. A hint of minimum size possesses more worth than any large number of response if it is able to jog your mind and thinking toward a solution that you are looking for. (You state: "I? have only received suggestions from 3 people). Suggestion: You list a comparably (too) large areas of study and interest. No one, especially at the beginning of professional life like you at the current time, can make two steps at the same time. You cannot run before you learn to walk. You can try but you will instantly recognize the hurtful way that the chance for you to fall flat on your face is real. You, therefore, must first narrow down the professional fields that you wish to enter. Your analysis must lead you to the point to produce two plans. Why two? Because you are the beginner with almost no experience, in professional life, life based on SAP-related and non-SAP-related. The two plans are: one concrete (realizable in time and in available resources) plan and / or and one (wishful-thinking). This task will force you to think and no one knows you better than yourself. After your completion of the task, present us on this forum your plan (one, two or more than two if you can justify); I have reasons to be convinced that you will get specific answers. (Here is what you state: I have been working as a Branch Manager in organized convenience retail for overs 8 years in UK. I have no IT experience except using few retail applications at branch level for the companies I have worked so far. I graduated in MSc Logistics & Supply Chain Business Management in November last year during which I studied LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT & STRATEGY SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT MANAGING OPERATIONS FOR LOGISTICS AND SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEMS BUSINESS DATA ANALYSIS MANAGING PEOPLE FINANCIAL ANALYSIS COMMUNICATION IN BUSINESS MARKETING ) If you wish to succeed in the field or pure SAP or any other fields with or without SAP related material in your professional life, the main and most crucial ingredient to get recognition is always and without any exception is: Think. And the more you practice it, the closer you come to the perfection that will undeniably deliver the success you are attempting to reach. Please come back to this forum with your plan(s) in a timely manner. Regards, Viet Tran
