On the other hand, many consulting firms are known for hiring many that they don't intend to keep. Even the consulting firms know that you aren't really use until you've been a consultant for at least 3 years. If they need 20 and hire 40 and 25 make it, then they'll fire the lowest 5. If they are losing too many in the first year because they didn't train sufficiently, then they hire more to make up the difference. I'm not saying that you shouldn't do this. I'm saying that you should look very deeply into their practices and try to determine what their actions might indicate in the long run. Whatever turns out, make them put it in writing. That way if they don't fulfill their promises, they are in breach of contract and have no legal foot to stand on if you leave. Neal

Please think - is getting a training (program) same as getting trained? Is your goal becoming a consultant or learning some configuration steps? Once you get in to a consulting company, you shall learn by watching the senior consultant, you shall have a bank of blueprints, manuals etc. and you shall be configuring or helping in configuration, testing - REAL TIME. If you get a chance to work with capable consultants, demanding clients; training program or NO training program; in a few years you shall come out TRAINED! Good luck!
