I have a total 7.5 years experience in IT in Mainframe Technology, out of which I have been working in the supply chain management functional area (specifically in Production Planning, Control and Scheduling in Legacy Mainframe Technology for a leading steel manufacturing company) over the past 4 years in a lead role. I have sound knowledge on end to end SCM for my customer and I am APICS CSCP Certified. Moreover I have sound knowledge on ISA 95. Now I may get an opportunity to get trained in SAP (either in SD, PP or MM) and work in a key implementation Project for the same customer. Please advise whether moving to SAP Platform at this stage is advisable considering my experience (7.5 years in Mainframe) and current market condition and trend. If you recommend me to move in SAP, please suggest the specific area (out of PP, SD and MM) that you would recommend considering my background and market conditions.
