I cannot agree more with Mr. Roy, one has to go through lots of practical experience in business / operations before even thinking of doing justice with any ERP in that matter. This will not be understood by people of this generation (I am an old lady with 22 years of experience in Finance and then SAP). Probably that's the reason why the maintenance cost of these systems are so high. Anyway good luck to the freshers. I am sure you will get a break sooner or later. Meanwhile why dont you guys try to get practical experience in the business?

I had been an international accountant for many years before I got into SAP (I mean nearly 30 years) and I knew all this terminology and much more because I had been working in the fields of accounting and finance for so long. Therefore I had no problem in absorbing SAP as just another tool and I could talk to an accounts clerk or a finance director each on their own level. I was not sitting around moaning that nobody would give me a job like so many "freshers" do, because I was well-qualified for the job by experience.
