Subject: Advice for SAP/ABAP future

Hello all,

I have over 8 years of ABAP/SAP R/3 4.6C with focus on SD, and other programming experience. Our company has been bought by a company that does not use SAP. I tried for several months to land a position leveraging my ABAP experience. What I found was that most jobs posted require BI, BW, EE6 and other acronymns I don't have experience with. I started to realize that I am outdated, because our company did not upgrade to the current SAP versions, not utilized any of the other SAP modules like BI. On more than one occasion I was told that I don't have enough enterprise experience.

The question I keep asking is, how do I get it? How do I learn BI or other modules if I don't get an opportunity? It isn't like you can go to SAP classes at the local JUCO. Any ideas or suggestions ? I have a job now but would like to pursue my SAP career.

Many thanks for all those who contribute.
